報告內容透露出，越來越多的患者願意利用自體脂肪來雕塑
美國整形外科醫師協會（ASPS）發佈的新數據顯示，美國人希望把最好的面孔和體態呈現出來。因為根據他們年度整形手術統計資料顯示，去年整容手術的增長率達到3%。且根據ASPS的統計，2016年在美國進行的美容手術和微創美容手術有1,710萬件。數據還透露出有關面部提拉和脂肪兩者的新美容趨勢。
使用患者『自己的脂肪』來填充和雕塑
從減少身體的脂肪到抽取脂肪來加強身體的其他部位，此資料顯示，新的美容趨勢與脂肪在身體塑形中的作用是息息相關的。
美國整形外科醫師協會（ASPS）主席Debra Johnson, MD. 這麼說“從脂肪上看到的一個趨勢是脂肪移植手術的增加。整形外科醫生利用抽脂手術從患者腹部收集不需要的脂肪，然後注射回填至其他部位以達『提拉和年輕化』的效果，如面部、臀部甚至是胸部。因為注射的材料是患者自己的脂肪，且維持的時間比其他填充物更久。”
利用脂肪移植的微創美容手術，增加13%。
利用脂肪移植達到豐臀的效果，增加26%。
利用脂肪移植達到豐胸的效果，增加72%。
最新指出，非侵入性減脂和皮膚緊縮手術在患者中也越來越受歡迎：
針對特定脂肪囤積區域（如雙下巴）的注射療程，增加18%。
非侵入式減脂，如不須透過手術方式所進行的特殊“凍結”脂肪的技術，增加5%。
針對脂肪和收縮下垂區域的非侵入性皮膚緊緻療程，增加5%。
Dr. Johnson. “這些較新的非侵入性療程吸引了廣泛的患者，但即使不是手術，患者仍然需要嚴肅看待這些治療。最好在進行任何療程之前，能與擁有ASPS會員的外科醫師諮詢討論，這將確保每一次的施行都是以最高醫療標準為基準。
